- March 25th: Expanding the Vision & Sistah Pride Youth Conference

Past Events and Accomplishments (2003):
- February: 2nd Annual Our hearts to Your hearts volunteer recognition joint event with Sepia Historical Club a success; attendance approximately 50.Joint participation with Metro Denver Black Church Initiative Faith & Health Fair; attendance > 300.
- March – BUFCO participated in joint effort with BCI for the Annual Diabetes Expo and the Breast Cancer Awareness workshops attendance > 300
- April – BUFCO partnered with Full Circle to attend the 2nd Annual 9 Health Fair – 2 volunteers gained to support events. Established a relationship with DCTV to begin to do non-profit highlights of events and services.
- May – BUFCO participated in the A Day of Caring event with BCI. BUFCO joined the North City Park Civic Association as a business member. BUFCO partnered with the Mayor’s Safe City office to hire 3 youth for summer employment.
- June – BUFCO began discussions with Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development to become a worksite for displaced workers to gain on-the-job training. BUFCO was a community partner and sponsor of the Mount Calvary Community Event.
- July – BUFCO participated as a community liaison with Congresswoman Degette’s office.
- August – BUFCO participated in the Genesis Life Skills Workshops, along with providing 60+ families with back to school supplies through the partnership with Providers Resource and Channel 7. BUFCO was a sponsor and a vendor during the Bill Pickett Rodeo. The first BUFCO & Bill Pickett Donor recognition day was held. Free entry for donors was provided along with a thank you gift.
- September – BUFCO participated in the DECC,CCC,CFC workplace campaign kickoffs, along with appearing at worksites for individual campaigns. Lots of opportunities to increase visibility for BUFCO and the federation members. BUFCO also joined and assisted in establishing the Historic Five Points Arts & Culture District which will preserve and market the historic Black owned businesses and entities in the northeast Denver area. BUFCO presented the 1st Annual Harlem Nights event as a signature fundraising event.
- November – BUFCO participated in the BCI Faith & Health Annual event. New access measures started to approach Black employee organizations in the private sector’s workplace campaigns.
- December – BUFCO joined a partnership of community organizations to establish a blueprint to address challenges, share resources, and make workable recommendations to meet the needs jointly of the community. Hiawatha Davis Jr. Senior Fair was attended, and participated in by BUFCO. Linkages for Older Adults agency provided a re-start survey, which was attended by more than 500 people.
